Registration for payment and mailing address
Applicants who are required to pay an application fee but do not need to make an appointment should follow the following process to register your payment and mailing address on line. If this step has not been completed, the payment information cannot be confirmed on the system and your application will not be accepted.
Step 1:
Go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/jp/index.html and click “Apply now”. If you do not have an account, please click “new user” to log in.
Step 2:
Choose “schedule Appointment” and follow the following steps:
- Choose “Non-immigrant visa”
- Select a visa application location
- Select a visa category
- Choose "NO" to the question "Are you eligible to apply for a visa by mail? "
- Enter passport information and mailing address
- Enter Receipt number
*Please make sure to enter a complete mailing address in Japan. Your passport will be delivered to this address by mail once the visa processing is completed.
* You will need to enter the 11-digit receipt number indicated in the red highlighted area on the payment page. This receipt number will become valid four hours after the payment is made.
The appointment calendar will show up, however, you do not need to proceed to schedule an appointment, just close the screen to end the process. Your payment and mailing information has already been successfully registered in the system.
