Ambassador Roos Accepts Diet Members’ Letter Supporting President’s Nuclear Disarmament Goals

Feb. 22 - A non-partisan group of seven ruling party and opposition Diet members met with Ambassador Roos on Feb. 19 at the Embassy to deliver a letter to President Obama supporting his efforts to abolish nuclear weapons. The letter, signed by over 200 Diet members from the Democratic Party of Japan, Liberal Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party and Komeito, lauds the President's nuclear disarmament policy objectives outlined in his April 2009 speech in Prague.
