女性の現状
「情報資料バンク」は全米女性史月間を機に女性の現状と業績に関するインターネット上の情報をまとめた。 毎年、米国大統領は、３月を全米女性史月間としてたたえるよう全国民に呼びかける大統領令を出すとともに、３月８日の国際女性の日についても別に宣言を出して呼びかけている。1975年に国連によって始められた国際女性の日は、女性の功績を認め、人類全体に共通する課題にスポットライトをあて、差別を撤廃し女性の平等かつ十分な社会参画に対する支援を高めることに重点的に取り組むものである。
