Local Business Leaders Tour U.S. Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni

Oct. 23, 2007 Iwakuni - Members of the Fukuoka American Business Club (FABC), Kitakyushu Japan-America Society, Fukuoka-Oakland Friendship Association and the local travel industry participated in an orientation tour of Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni. Participants enjoyed a welcome by base commander Colonel Michael A. O'Halloran, command brief, a tour of various base facilities as well as the chance to "fly" an F/A-18 in the flight simulator. This was the first tour of MCAS Iwakuni for the business leaders and they were able to see first hand the preparations taking place for the eventual move of the carrier air wing from Atsugi to Iwakuni.
