U.S. Patent Office Attorney and Yamaguchi University Officials Discuss China IPR Issues

Ube, Yamaguchi - Embassy Beijing Intellectual Property Attache Mark Cohen (of the US Patent and Trademark Office) discussed Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) issues in China during an event on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering at Yamaguchi University in Ube City. The program was co-sponsored by the universityfs Industry-University Collaborative Research Center and the Fukuoka Consulate. Mr. Cohen spoke on the importance of the enforcement of IPR in China by focusing on the status, challenges and prospects of legal framework in China that dictates technological transfer.
