Professor Dasher Explains University and Industry Synergies

Kumamoto - Stanford University professor and director of US-Asia Technology Management Center Dr. Richard B. Dasher spoke to an audience of professors, students, national, prefectural and municipal government officials, businessmen, and media representatives about how to meet new demands for better innovation systems in Japan through US-style university-industry collaboration. Speaking on the importance of implementing real-time, two-way knowledge exchanges between university and industry for early-stage innovation, Dr. Dasher enumerated some of the challenges in implementing new patterns of university-industry knowledge exchange. The program was sponsored by the university and the Fukuoka Consulate.
