Economic Minister-Counselor Stresses Importance of Foreign Direct Investment

Kitakyushu - Economic Minister-Counselor James Zumwalt spoke to more than sixty Kitakyushu business and government leaders about the benefits of increased FDI for the revitalization of the Japanese economy and underscored the robust ties between the US and Japan on economic, geopolitical and other bilateral fronts. He urged Japan to improve the business environment to attract additional FDI. The program was co-sponsored by Western-Japan Industrial Club, a regional business institution with members from Kitakyushu industries.
