Immigrant Visas

Foreign Passport Application Information

In order to receive an Immigrant visa you must present a passport valid for six months beyond your intended date of entry into the U.S. An immigrant visa is issued in exactly the same name which appears in the applicant's passport. If you wish to apply for a new passport or to have your name changed in your current passport you should contact the nearest Japanese passport office (Japanese citizen), or your embassy (third country nationals).

Note: The following information has been given to the Embassy regarding passport application procedures. This information is provided as a courtesy. While we strive to provide accurate information, we strongly suggest that you confirm this information with the appropriate authorities.
