I am not required to make an appointment for my visa interview. How do I pay the application fee?

I made an appointment and paid the fee, but I changed my appointment. Do I have to pay again?

No, your unused payment is valid for one year. You do not need to pay again unless you are unable to show your PayEasy ATM transaction receipt showing payment into the Embassy PayEasy account.

How do I pay the E visa application fee for a new company registration?

New company registration for an E visa requires visa application fee payment with submission of registration documents. Please see Pay the Visa Application Fee for payment procedures.

Can I pay both the application and issuance fee together?

The visa application fee is paid by all visa applicants and is paid into a bank before the applicant submits the visa application. The issuance fee is only for certain nationalities, and is paid at the Embassy or Consulate at the visa interview.

NEW I am applying for an E-2C visa. I cannot find the E-2C category option on fee payment site. What should I do?

Please select E (Treaty Traders and Investors).

NEW I am applying for a CW visa. I cannot find the CW category option on fee payment site. What should I do?

Can I pay the fee at any bank?

Using the Financial institution code, customer number, and confirmation number issued when making your appointment, you can pay at any ATM displaying the PayEasy logo. Please see here for more details.

If I am paying an application fee to apply for the visa, why might I have to pay an additional fee?

All visa applicants are required to pay an application fee. However, some nationalities are also required to pay an issuance fee.

Why are only certain nationalities required to pay an issuance fee?

The issuance fee is based on reciprocity and reflects the fees charged by your government for a similar service to a U.S. citizen.

How much will it cost?

Please click here to find out if you need to pay an issuance fee and how much it will be. It is based on the nationality of the passport you currently hold and the type of visa you are applying for. For instance, if you were born in Japan but hold a Russian passport and are applying for a B1/B2 visa, you will have to pay the B1/B2 issuance fee for Russia.

How do I pay the issuance fee?

Payment of the issuance fee is by cash, dollars, yen or credit card. Please also be prepared to pay with cash if the credit card verification system is temporarily unavailable. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club or Discover. Credit card payments are billed in U.S. dollars. You will be advised further at the time of your visa interview.
